As the above seems to be a hot topic this week I would like to discuss it in brief here though the matter is not brief at all.
This is something that is very close to my heart. One of the main reasons I founded woollyboolly is so that I can answer the question ‘who made my clothes’. I just got back from Sarajevo last week where part of the woollyboolly knitting is done. Being there gives me so much inspiration and encouragement. Spending time with the women who knit the sweaters is such an honour. I was wearing a woollyboolly sweater on one of the days I was working there and a knitter walked in and immediately proudly said ‘oh I knitted that sweater’. The fact that we can add extra income to these women’s lives while they stay home and look after their children gives me a lot of strength to keeping moving forward. Thank you so much for your support on behalf of these beautiful women, I will keep sharing their stories.
